Setting Up Your Email Account in Outlook 2007

Introduction

The following step-by-step instructions with added images should help you set up your email account in Microsoft Outlook 2007. Please follow them carefully!

Step 1

In Outlook 2007, open the E-mail accounts dialogue box (Tools -> Account Settings) and click on "New..."

Step 2

If you get a window that asks you whether to use a "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" or "Other" server, select the first and click "Next".

Step 3

Complete the fields as follow:

Your Name

Your real name that you want people that receive email from you to see

E-mail Address

Your full e-mail address

Password

The password for your email account that was given to you

Retype Password

Type your password again for confirmation

And Click 'Next'

Step 4

Outlook will automatically search for encrypted settings, please wait a while (can take up to 3 minutes).

Step 5

Outlook will fail to automaticaly detect encrypted server settings. Click next to continue searching for unencrypted server settings. If you would like to use encrypted servers, please contact us and we will send you the manual instructions!

Step 6

Outlook will automatically search for unencrypted settings, please wait a while (can take up to 3 minutes).

Step 7

Outlook will automatically find all remaining settings and set up your account. Click "Finish" to complete the configuration.
